Two portraits in conversation with one another, with the Greek "What do you want," "I want to die" from Gaius Petronius' Satyricon inscribed on their cheeks as they consume or are consumed by cicada's wings--a symbol for life and rebirth through the shedding of skin. (Acrylic on board, 2022)
